  • Manly Ayah, Northern Beaches LGA

    Toolijooa was engaged to implement the management & rehabilitation of all vegetation, including Threatened Ecological Community & Endangered Ecological Communities, found within the eastern portion of the former Manly Hospital Property in Manly, NSW.

    Strategic rehabilitation & revegetation efforts were required to ensure the Site met the Asset Protection Zone (APZ) standards necessary for the proposed Adolescent & Young Adult Hospice (AYAH), whilst also restoring all additional areas of native vegetation within the Site.

  • Vision Valley, Hornsby Shire LGA

    Vision Valley was acquired by Pymble Ladies College to serve as an alternative campus for experiential learning, allowing its students education opportunities in a bushland setting. The facilities provides a space for conferences, rock climbing, abseiling, archery, mountain biking, horse riding and bushwalking.

    The site is located within high quality bushland typical of the local area with a wide range of native fauna and flora species, including several threatened species. The vegetation and the site are recognised as being of high biodiversity value within the Hornsby LGA.

  • Crimson Hill, Ku-ring-gai LGA

    The Edgelea State development site spans over 13.86 hectares in the Ku-ring-gai LGA. Surrounded by Lane Cove National Park and low-density residential properties, the primary objective was to establish and sustain an asset protection zone along the boundaries of the site.

    In addition, the conservation and monitoring of the endangered Darwinia biflora and the eradication of noxious weeds were also crucial goals for the project. By prioritizing the maintenance of the ecological balance of the area, the Edgelea State development aims to contribute positively to both the natural and human communities in the region.

  • Mater Dei Biobank, Camden LGA

    The Mater Dei property is located at Cobbitty, in the LGA of Camden. The 244-hectare property is owned by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan and contains the Mater Dei Special School and Wivenhoe Historic House. The property contains extensive areas of bushland and derived grasslands.

    Approximately 181 hectares of the property has been protected by the Sisters for the purpose of biodiversity conservation. This protected area comprises of a 91 hectare conservation under a voluntary planning agreement between SGS and Camden Council. A 26 hectare Stage 1 biobank site and a 58 hectare Stage 2 biobank site.

  • Post Fire Recovery, Hunter Region

    Toolijooa was engaged to implement the weed management & rehabilitation of a large riparian area in the Cessnock and Broke regions of the Lower Hunter Valley.

    The purpose was to expand on existing Landcare work on private properties and enhance the linkages of habitat refuges along the Wollombi Brook and the Congewai Creek Catchment through targeted sensitive weed control and revegetation works.

    Professional bushland management works were implemented on the site to retain & enhance endemic flora and fauna species and vegetation communities.
